Automation by Zapier

Connect Zapier to RobinReach

To connect Zapier to RobinReach, add a Webhooks by Zapier action with the Custom Request event to your Zap. Set the method to POST, the URL to https://robinreach.com/api/v1/posts, an Authorization header of Bearer and your API key, and a JSON body with the post's content, time and profiles. When the Zap runs, the post lands on your RobinReach calendar and goes out on schedule, on any of 13 networks. Webhooks by Zapier needs a paid Zapier plan, and the RobinReach API is included on the Bloom, Thrive and Scale plans.

Step by step

Set up Zapier in 5 minutes

  1. Add a webhook action to your Zap

    Choose the Webhooks by Zapier action with the Custom Request event and set the method to POST.

  2. Set the URL

    Paste the RobinReach posts endpoint.

    URL
    https://robinreach.com/api/v1/posts
  3. Add the headers

    Replace YOUR_API_KEY with the key from the Integrations page in RobinReach.

    Headers
    Authorization: Bearer YOUR_API_KEY
    Content-Type: application/json
  4. Send this data

    Change the content, time and profiles however you like, and map fields from earlier Zap steps into the JSON. Use social_profile_ids instead of all_profiles to pick profiles.

    Data
    {
      "content": "Fresh stock just landed. Come see what's new!",
      "publish_time": "2026-12-01 10:00",
      "status": "scheduled",
      "all_profiles": true
    }
  5. Test the step

    Zapier sends a test request. The post shows up in your RobinReach calendar right away.

Check it works. Test the step and look for the post on your RobinReach calendar.

Ideas to automate

Each idea is one Zap or scenario: a trigger in another app, then one request to RobinReach.

When a new product is added in Shopify, post it to Instagram and Facebook with its photo.

When a blog post is published in WordPress, share it on LinkedIn and X the next morning.

When a form gets a five star review, thank the customer in a Facebook post.

When an event is added to Google Calendar, schedule a reminder post the day before.

Troubleshooting

If something does not work

The step returns 401

The key is missing or out of date. Check the Authorization header reads Bearer, a space, then your current key.

The step returns 422

RobinReach checked the post and found a problem, for example text too long for X or a missing image for Instagram. The response says what to fix; POST the same body to https://robinreach.com/api/v1/posts/validate first to check without creating anything.

The post went to every profile

all_profiles sends it everywhere. List the profiles you want in social_profile_ids instead; GET https://robinreach.com/api/v1/social_profiles returns their ids.
