Connect Cursor to RobinReach
To connect Cursor to RobinReach, add a robinreach entry to ~/.cursor/mcp.json with your RobinReach URL and API key as its url, save, and make sure the server is turned on in Cursor's MCP settings. Cursor's agent can then write, schedule and publish posts on 13 networks, read your analytics and answer comments while you code. Put the file in .cursor/mcp.json instead to use it in one project only. It is included on the Bloom, Thrive and Scale plans.

Set up Cursor in 1 minute
-
Open your MCP config
Open ~/.cursor/mcp.json to use RobinReach in every project, or .cursor/mcp.json inside one project. Cursor's MCP settings open the same file.
-
Paste this block
Replace YOUR_API_KEY with the key from the Integrations page in RobinReach. If the file already lists servers, add robinreach next to them inside mcpServers.
{ "mcpServers": { "robinreach": { "url": "https://robinreach.com/mcp/v1/messages?api_key=YOUR_API_KEY" } } } -
Turn it on and say hello
Save the file, check robinreach is switched on in Cursor's MCP settings, then ask the agent to list your RobinReach brands.
Keep the key out of the URL
Cursor can send the key as a header instead. Use this block in place of the one in step 2.
{
"mcpServers": {
"robinreach": {
"url": "https://robinreach.com/mcp/v1/messages",
"headers": { "Authorization": "Bearer YOUR_API_KEY" }
}
}
}Things to ask Cursor
Plain words work. Cursor picks the tools, checks each post against the network's rules and tells you what it did.

If something does not work
The robinreach server shows an error
Check the API key in the URL is current. A newly created key on the Integrations page replaces the old one, so update mcp.json after creating one.
The agent does not use RobinReach
Make sure the server is switched on in Cursor's MCP settings and ask in the agent chat, mentioning RobinReach.
Too many tools at once
Cursor lets you switch individual tools off per server. Keep the ones you use, like posts, media and analytics.
Cursor and RobinReach: questions people ask
Global or project config?
~/.cursor/mcp.json loads RobinReach in every project. .cursor/mcp.json loads it in one project, which suits a repo you share, as long as the key is not committed.
Can Cursor upload images from my project?
Yes. The agent can upload a file from your project to your RobinReach library through a secure upload link and attach it to a post.
Can I connect just one brand?
Yes. Use that brand's key from its Integrations page. Cursor then only reaches that brand.
Does Cursor need Node.js for RobinReach?
No. Cursor connects to the URL directly over HTTP.
Which plans include it?
On RobinReach, the Bloom, Thrive and Scale plans.
