Connect ChatGPT to your social media
To connect ChatGPT to your social media, add RobinReach as a custom MCP server. In ChatGPT on the web, open Plugins, click +, choose Add custom MCP server, name it RobinReach, paste https://robinreach.com/mcp/v1/messages and set authentication to OAuth. Create it, sign in to RobinReach, then type @ in a chat and pick RobinReach. ChatGPT can then write, schedule and publish posts on 13 networks, answer comments and read your analytics, and it asks before anything that changes your account. You need a paid ChatGPT plan, and on the RobinReach side the Bloom, Thrive and Scale plan.

Copy the RobinReach URL
The same address works for every account. Your login decides which brands ChatGPT can reach.

Add a custom MCP server
In ChatGPT on the web, open Plugins, click the + button and choose Add custom MCP server.

Fill it in
Name it RobinReach and paste the URL under Connection. Set authentication to OAuth, tick I understand and want to continue and click Create as a plugin.

Sign in to RobinReach
A RobinReach window opens. Sign in, keep your account selected or pick a single brand, and click Connect. Connecting needs the account owner, an account admin or a brand admin. Install the plugin if ChatGPT asks.

Use it in a chat
Start a new chat, type @ and pick RobinReach, then ask it to list your RobinReach brands. Pick it again with @ when a later message needs it.
Check it works. Type @, pick RobinReach and ask: "List my RobinReach brands".
Prefer an API key?
In step 3, paste this URL with the key from the Integrations page in RobinReach and set authentication to No authentication. The URL contains your key, so keep it private.

Troubleshooting
If something does not work
I do not see Plugins or Add custom MCP server
On Business, Enterprise and Edu workspaces an admin has to allow it (the Create plugins with MCPs permission). Some personal accounts still show the older route, Settings, then Apps, then Advanced settings, where you turn on Developer mode and click Create.
ChatGPT asks me to confirm every change
That is on purpose. ChatGPT confirms actions that write, and RobinReach labels its read only tools so those run without a prompt. You can let ChatGPT remember your choice for the rest of a conversation.
ChatGPT stopped using RobinReach mid chat
ChatGPT applies a plugin to the message where you pick it. Type @ and pick RobinReach again when you ask for something new.
A tool fails after RobinReach adds new features
Workspace plugins keep a snapshot of the tool list. An admin can refresh the plugin in the workspace settings to pick up the new tools.
Can I set it up from the ChatGPT app on my phone?
No. Add the server in ChatGPT on the web. OpenAI does not support connecting custom MCP servers on mobile.

ChatGPT and RobinReach: questions people ask
Do I still need Developer mode in ChatGPT?
Not in the current Plugins setup, where you add the server directly and accept a risk notice. Some accounts still show the older Developer mode route; the steps there are listed under fixes.
Does it work with a free ChatGPT account?
No. Adding custom MCP servers needs a paid ChatGPT plan, and on work workspaces your admin may need to allow it.
Will ChatGPT publish without asking?
ChatGPT asks before actions that change things, and RobinReach marks publishing right away, deleting and client links so ChatGPT confirms them with you. Reading your calendar or analytics runs without a prompt.
Do I need an API key for ChatGPT?
No. You sign in with your RobinReach login. The API key URL is a fallback for people who are not admins.
Is ChatGPT or Claude better for RobinReach?
Both get the same 77 tools. Claude also works in its desktop and mobile apps once added on the web; ChatGPT is set up on the web. Pick the one your team already uses.
