First things to try

Things to ask VS Code

Plain words work. VS Code picks the tools, checks each post against the network's rules and tells you what it did.

Troubleshooting

If something does not work

Copilot does not use RobinReach

Open Chat, then Customizations, then Tools, and check the robinreach tools are switched on for the session.

The server will not start

Check the URL includes your current API key. Creating a new key on the Integrations page replaces the old one.

It only works in one workspace

It was saved to the workspace. Add it again and pick Global.

Questions

VS Code and RobinReach: questions people ask

Do I need GitHub Copilot?

Yes. RobinReach's tools are used by Copilot's agent in the Chat view.

Where does VS Code save the server?

With Global, in your personal Copilot config at ~/.copilot/mcp-config.json, so every workspace has it.

Can I connect just one brand?

Yes. Use that brand's key from its Integrations page.

No. VS Code connects to the URL over HTTP directly.

Which plans include it?

On RobinReach, the Bloom, Thrive and Scale plans. On GitHub, a Copilot plan.
