# Connect n8n to RobinReach: AI Agent Social Media Workflows

> To connect n8n to RobinReach, add the MCP Client Tool node to your AI Agent, set its endpoint to your RobinReach URL with your API key and choose HTTP Streamable as the server transport. The agent can then use RobinReach's 77 tools: schedule and publish posts on 13 networks, read analytics, answer comments and run Auto DM, inside any workflow. For fixed steps without an agent, the HTTP Request node posts through the REST API. It is included on the Bloom, Thrive and Scale plans.

## What you need

In n8n:
- n8n, cloud or self-hosted, with an AI Agent node and a chat model.
- Your API key from the Integrations page in RobinReach.

In RobinReach:
- The Bloom, Thrive and Scale plan (Bloom, $24 a month).
- An API key from the Integrations page (the account key reaches every brand; a brand key reaches one).

## Setup

### 1. Add the MCP Client Tool node

In your workflow, add the **MCP Client Tool** node and connect it to your **AI Agent** as a tool.

### 2. Point it at RobinReach

Set this as the endpoint, with your key in place of **YOUR_API_KEY**, and choose **HTTP Streamable** as the server transport. Leave authentication on None, since the key is in the URL.

### 3. Pick the tools

Keep **All**, or choose **Selected** to give the agent only what the workflow needs, for example posts and analytics.

### 4. Run the agent

Ask it to list your RobinReach brands, or to schedule a post from data earlier in the workflow.

Check it works: Run the agent with: "List my RobinReach brands".

### Fixed steps, no agent

For a workflow that always posts the same way, use the HTTP Request node with the REST API: POST to this URL with an Authorization header of Bearer and your key, and a JSON body like the one in the Zapier guide.

- When a new row lands in our content sheet, write a post for it and schedule it at our next best time.
- Every Friday at 4pm, summarise this week's engagement and send it to our Slack channel.
- When a product goes on sale in our store, draft posts for Instagram and Facebook.
- Every morning, reply to new questions in the comments using our FAQ document.

## Troubleshooting

**The node cannot connect.** Check the endpoint includes your current API key and that the transport is HTTP Streamable.

**The agent picks the wrong tool.** Choose Selected under Tools to Include and keep only the tools the workflow needs. Fewer tools make the agent's choice easier.

**I would rather not keep the key in the URL.** Set authentication to Bearer and paste your key there, then use the plain URL https://robinreach.com/mcp/v1/messages as the endpoint.

Use the MCP Client Tool when an AI Agent should decide what to do from a request. Use HTTP Request for fixed steps, like posting every new blog article the same way.

### Does it work on self-hosted n8n?

Yes. The node runs the same way on n8n cloud and self-hosted, as long as your server can reach robinreach.com.

### Can a workflow reach just one brand?

Yes. Use that brand's key from its Integrations page.

### Will the agent publish without asking?

An n8n agent runs on its own, so ask it to save drafts, or turn on approvals in RobinReach so a person signs off before anything goes live.

### Which plans include it?
