# Connect Gemini CLI to RobinReach: MCP Setup (2026)

> To connect Gemini CLI to RobinReach, run gemini mcp add --transport http --scope user robinreach followed by your RobinReach URL with your API key. Start gemini and RobinReach's 77 tools are there: Gemini can write, schedule and publish posts on 13 networks and read your analytics. Since 18 June 2026 Google serves Gemini CLI only to Gemini Code Assist Standard and Enterprise licences and paid Gemini API keys; free, AI Pro and Ultra users moved to Antigravity CLI, which also supports MCP servers.

Sign in: API key. Setup time: 1 minute. RobinReach plan: Bloom, Thrive and Scale.

## What you need

In Gemini CLI:
- Gemini CLI with a Gemini Code Assist Standard or Enterprise licence, or a paid Gemini API key.
- Your API key from the Integrations page in RobinReach.

In RobinReach:
- The Bloom, Thrive and Scale plan (Bloom, $24 a month).
- An API key from the Integrations page (the account key reaches every brand; a brand key reaches one).

## Setup

### 1. Run this command in your terminal

Replace **YOUR_API_KEY** with the key from the Integrations page in RobinReach. **--scope user** makes RobinReach available in every folder.

### 2. Check the connection

Start gemini and run **/mcp list**. RobinReach shows as connected with its tools.

### 3. Say hello

Ask Gemini to list your RobinReach brands.

Check it works: Start gemini and ask: "List my RobinReach brands".

### Keep the key out of the URL

Gemini CLI can send the key as a header instead. Use this command in place of the one in step 1.

## Things to ask Gemini CLI

- Schedule a post about today's release on LinkedIn and Bluesky for 3pm.
- Show me the next 14 days of scheduled posts and the days with gaps.
- Write five Pinterest pins for our new recipes, with titles and alt text, as drafts.
- Compare this week's engagement with last week's and tell me what changed.

## Troubleshooting

**Gemini CLI stopped working on my Google account.** Since 18 June 2026 Google no longer serves Gemini CLI to free, Google One, AI Pro and Ultra users. Use a paid Gemini API key or a Code Assist licence, or move to Antigravity CLI.

**RobinReach only shows up in one project.** It was added with project scope. Run gemini mcp remove robinreach and add it again with --scope user.

**/mcp list shows RobinReach as disconnected.** Check the API key is current on the Integrations page in RobinReach. A newly created key replaces the old one.

### Does RobinReach work with Antigravity CLI?

Antigravity CLI keeps MCP support and reads servers from mcp_config.json, at ~/.gemini/config/mcp_config.json for every project. Add RobinReach there with serverUrl set to your RobinReach URL with your API key.

### Who can still use Gemini CLI?

Teams with a Gemini Code Assist Standard or Enterprise licence and anyone using a paid Gemini API key. Google moved free, Google One, AI Pro and Ultra users to Antigravity CLI on 18 June 2026.

### Do I need a bridge like mcp-remote?

No. Gemini CLI connects to RobinReach over HTTP by itself, so the one command is all it takes.

### Can I connect just one brand?

Yes. Use that brand's API key from its Integrations page.

### Which plans include it?

On RobinReach, the Bloom, Thrive and Scale plans.
